What's New at Kings Dominion in 2025

There's so much NEW to experience during Kings Dominion's 50th Anniversary season! With a birthday as big as this one - there’s bound to be presents! Take a walk in the park with us and check out some of the exciting enhancements this season.

A Golden Summerbration

Now starting May 24, A Golden Summerbration is going to be the party of the summer! This means we’re adding live entertainment like the return of our Clown Band and a new nighttime spectacle Light the Night, along with other special enhancements to iconic park buildings, special food and beverage items, once-in-a-lifetime merchandise, and other enhancements to buildings and rides throughout the park. The entertainment lineup features:

  • Light the Night – Starts May 24 - Join the celebration of our 50th anniversary and experience Light the Night — a daily dazzling new visual spectacle illuminating International Street.
  • Clown Band – Starts May 24 - The park comes alive with interactive entertainment starring the beloved Clown Band and their zany high jinks.
  • Prism: the Ultimate Laser Show presented by The Original Bomb Pop™ – June 13 - July 6 - Bursting with vibrant color and mesmerizing visuals, this all-ages celebration at the Kings Dominion Theater is a can't-miss laser show that will leave your family in awe. 
  • 50 Years of FUN Street Party – Starts June 13 - Partake in the celebration where the whole family can join in on the fun featuring a new original song, "Right Here! Right Now!". 
  • Gazillion Bubble Show – July 12 - August 3 - Let your inner child run wild as world-class bubble artists deliver a dazzling display of soapy wonder and jaw-dropping stage magic. It’s a one-of-a-kind show in the Kings Dominion Theater that will leave you amazed and uplifted.

New on International Street

- Funnel Cake Kitchen is a new and improved location, giving you upgraded access to a bar of toppings to customize your dessert masterpiece!

- The former funnel cake location has been renovated into a Biergarten patio where you can relax and enjoy pretzel bites, German sausages, cookie butter braids, and of course, beer!

- Pizza Parlor received a full renovation - inside and out - harkening back to its original look on Opening Day in 1975.

- La Dulce Vida Sweets, Treats & More will be transformed into Sweet Spot, offering a larger and more diverse selection of goodies and delights. Coming this summer.

- Dominion Traders has been transformed into the Kings Collection, the go-to spot for all your 50th anniversary-related merchandise and souvenirs. Throughout the store you may come across memorabilia from the park’s five decades of history.

- Dominator, the world’s longest floorless roller coaster, has received a full repaint for the 2025 season.

- The International Street country buildings (Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and Spain) have received fresh coats of paint and bright refreshed looks!

New in Candy Apple Grove

- The Americana Ferris Wheel will receive a brand-new lighting package that shines brighter than ever before! Coming this summer.

- Victoria’s Pizza will be receiving a patio bar at the back of the restaurant, giving you a great view of Soak City Waterpark and Pantherian! Coming this summer.

- The twin lift hills on Racer 75 have received all new Engineered Precut Track, keeping this iconic ride fresh for its 50th anniversary.

- The Singing Mushrooms are playing all-new tunes celebrating 50 years of Kings Dominion!

New in Jungle X-Pedition

- Chicken Shack has received a complete makeover, matching it with the theme of the land.

- Pantherian, our world-class giga coaster, has been immersed into Jungle X with new colors and theme dedicated to the sleek and stealthy panther. The exit photo shop has received a makeover as well, where guests can memorialize their encounter. Opening this summer.

- Last, and certainly not least, Rapterra – the world’s tallest and longest launched wing coaster - is the biggest birthday present of them all! This high-speed family-thrill coaster propels you to 65mph through three inversions in wing-style seating. Whether you choose the left or right side this experience is fun all around!

New Food Offerings

- Iconic Blue Ice Cream has returned to Kings Dominion, currently being offered in Funnel Cake Kitchen. Also available is a KD50th Birthday Funnel Cake.

 

- The Three by Land is a mega sandwich stacked with chicken, hamburger, and bacon to be sold at Jukebox Diner! Coming this summer.

- Banana Split Dippin’ Dots returns as the official Dippin’ Dots flavor of the 50th Anniversary!

- A 50th Anniversary Elephant Ear and Drink will be available this summer, as well as other select food offerings.
