Meet the X-plorers: Marie Estrada and Rovin Jay
Among the notable x-plorers who made x-traordinary discoveries in Jungle X-Pedition are Marie Estrada Ph.D. and Professor Rovin Jay who dedicated their passion for x-ploration to the Whey Foundation.
Marie Estrada was born and raised in Oakland, California and is of Spanish heritage. She graduated from Stanford University with a Ph.D. in archeology. Marie’s dream as a child was to visit every country in the world, which she impressively accomplished by the age of 32.
Looking for her next adventure, Marie joined the Whey Foundation after watching a PBS documentary about Gerald Winston Whey.
In 2010, Marie Estrada discovered a multi-armed mechanism created by the ancients to pay respect to the Goliath Tarantula and send those brave enough to climb aboard on a wild, web-spinning ride. After further x-ploration, the ride was appropriately named Arachnidia.
Rovin Jay was born and raised in France with African and American descent. Rovin is a Professor of Archeology at the Université de Paris. To assist the Whey Foundation with their endeavors, Rovin was on sabbatical for six years.
In 2015, Professor Rovin Jay and his team found a temple where visitors could crawl aboard a representation of the fearsome, toothsome creature. His discovery was later named Reptilian.
The Whey Foundation ensures that their work is never done. There are still more temples and mysteries to be uncovered and discovered at the X-Pedition base camp.
