Kings Dominion remains a place for families to make memories and create new traditions, and with the addition of WinterFest in 2018 we began helping families make new holiday memories. In the spirit of holiday traditions, for more than 20 years the park has been honored to participate and sponsor one of Richmond’s top traditions, the Dominion Energy Christmas Parade.
The 36th annual Richmond Christmas Parade takes place on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 10 a.m. The parade departs from the Science Museum on West Broad Street and continues east to 7th Street.
This year, we’re helping tell inspiring stories through our float sponsorship with a “Charlie Brown Christmas” themed float. Families can remember traditions of watching the classic Christmas show with the tree that “just needs a little love,” appearances by Snoopy, Charlie Brown and Linus, plus comic images from some of your favorite scenes found here at the park.

Along with Snoopy, Charlie Brown and Linus, WinterFest Merriment characters and the cast of the Holly Jolly Trolley will be spreading Christmas and WinterFest cheer to spectators along the route.

The parade will be broadcast live on WTVR-CBS 6 and will air again on Christmas Day. For more information on the Dominion Energy Christmas Parade and to view the parade route and lineup visit Richmondparade.org.
And, if you see us along the route – be sure to say "Merry WinterFest!"
