Halloween Haunt Visitation Information
PARK-SEPARATE HAUNT ENTRY
On Saturdays and Sundays in the fall, Kings Dominion will be open from 11 AM – 5 PM along with The Great Pumpkin Fest. When the park closes at 5 PM, guests planning to stay for Halloween Haunt will be directed to International Street where they will be able to access the Haunt Waiting Area.
Guests already in the park will have the opportunity to present their Haunt ticket and Gold/Prestige/Platinum Season Passes at the entrance to the Haunt Waiting Area on International Street. Guests should then follow signs to select attractions and amenities available during the transition period. This allows us to prepare Haunt activities while families with younger children have a scare-free time as they exit the park.
CHAPERONE POLICY
All guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to, or remain in, the park for Halloween Haunt. The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry.
One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than ten (10) guests ages 15 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay. Guests ages 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection.
This chaperone requirement applies to all Kings Dominion ticket and season passholders. Parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior of their minor children. Appropriate behavior and supervision are the responsibility of the parent/guardian and is always expected. The park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors. Parents/guardians may be held legally liable for all acts of the children under their care.
BAG POLICY
During Halloween Haunt only clear plastic bags smaller than 12” x 12” x 6” as well as non-clear wristlets or clutches no larger than 5”x 8”x 2” are allowed at Kings Dominion. All bags are subject to search prior to entry. Guests already in the park with bags will be searched upon readmission and must meet the previously listed requirements.
KINGS DOMINION CODE OF CONDUCT
Kings Dominion is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all guests. To help us fulfill our commitment, we ask that you honor this code of conduct.
The following behaviors or acts are not permitted at Kings Dominion:
- No re-entry after 6:00 PM
- No costumes or face paint on guests 12 and older will be permitted into the park
- No disruptive behavior and/or profanity
- No running and/or horseplay throughout the park
- No line jumping
- No loitering or gathering in groups that could block or impede traffic on the walkways
- No offensive clothing including profanity, nudity, or drug-related language or graphics
- No entry into unauthorized areas
THEMED ATTIRE
During Halloween Haunt costumes, masks or face paints of any kind are not permitted.
PERSONAL CONDUCT
Conduct deemed by Kings Dominion to be inappropriate for the peace and good order of the park, guests, or associates, and which may adversely affect the safety of others is not permitted. Anyone who violates the Code of Conduct may be subject to ejection without refund.
Guests are encouraged to report any violations of the Guest Code of Conduct or suspicious activity to the nearest Kings Dominion associate. Kings Dominion reserves the right to revise or modify this Code of Conduct with or without notice.
Notice: Kings Dominion Security personnel utilize surveillance cameras and body-worn cameras as part of their overall security program.
Haunt Update
At Kings Dominion, we love to provide our guests with unique experiences for everyone to enjoy. This year Halloween Haunt will now be a stand-alone event with separate tickets and policies. What does that mean for you? These Frequently Asked Questions will help.
Yes. Admission during fall daytime operating hours and Halloween Haunt require separate tickets. You can purchase a combo ticket with admission to daytime and Halloween Haunt.
Gold, Platinum and Prestige Season Passes include unlimited fall daytime visits and Halloween Haunt visits. Silver Season Pass includes unlimited fall daytime visits but not Halloween Haunt admission. Silver Passholders will need a separate ticket for Halloween Haunt or they may upgrade their season pass to get unlimited visits to Halloween Haunt.
No. If you have a combo ticket for fall daytime operations and Halloween Haunt, you can stay in the park between the two events. However, you must come to the Haunt Waiting Area on International Street after daytime hours so we can rescan your ticket, which allows you to stay for Halloween Haunt.
No. If you have Season Pass that's valid for Halloween Haunt (Gold, Platinum, and Prestige only), you do not need to exit and reenter the park. However, after fall daytime hours end you must come to the Haunt Waiting Area on International Street so we can rescan your Season Pass, which allows you to remain in the park for Halloween Haunt.
Yes. Your parking pass is valid for the entire date of purchase.
Yes. Your parking ticket is valid for the entire date of purchase. If you leave the lot and return, just present your parking ticket receipt so you can reenter at no cost.
Yes, you can use the All Day Dining and Souvenir Bottle/Drink Wristband throughout the day and night, but you still need a separate admission ticket.
Yes. Fast Lane and Fright Lane passes allow you to bypass the regular lines on some rides and attractions, but they are not park admission tickets. You still need to purchase a park admission ticket to get in the park.
No. Your Fast Lane pass will work during fall daytime OR Halloween Haunt but not both. However, if you have an Season Pass Fast Lane, it does include both events and must be redeemed for each.
During the Great Pumpkin Fest, we welcome family-oriented costumes and attire. To provide a safe and positive experience for all, guests' costumes or attire must not:
- Conceal your identity
- Disrupt regular company operations
- Disrupt the safety of other guests or associates
- Display offensive language or obscene gestures/graphics
- Represent or resemble any official Kings Dominion character
- Please note that some rides and attractions may have additional restrictions on dress attire
During Halloween Haunt costumes of any kind are not permitted.
