The best deals on tickets are available online through our website. You will save big off the regular front gate price when you buy your tickets in advance online.
Kings Dominion does not offer a non-rider discount. Kings Dominion has a one-price admission as it is a multi-faceted park, not just a ride park. Live entertainment abounds at the park with fun-filled shows and roving characters and performers. The park also offers a variety of gift shops, restaurants, a waterpark that is included with park admission and much more.
We are pleased to offer discounted tickets to active and retired members of the military and veterans on all public operating days. The discount offer is available online and is valid for up to six (6) family members. The discount may vary throughout the season.

Admission tickets and Season Passes are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for any reason after the order transaction is complete at the Front Gate, online through our website and retail outlets. This includes weather related events. We do not issue rain checks. Please check local weather conditions prior to planning your visit.
Guests ages 3 and up are required to have a ticket to Kings Dominion.
No need to panic. You can have your tickets printed for you at Admission Services. You will need the credit card you used to purchase the e-ticket and your confirmation number. Depending on the size of your group, a service charge may be assessed to have your tickets printed at the park.
If you forget to bring your season pass, please proceed to the Admission Services window located at the Front Gate. A nominal processing fee will be assessed if you lose your season pass.
Guests can receive full credit on their admission towards the purchase of a season pass. Stop by any ticket window at the Front Gate for details during your visit. Upgrading your admission towards a season pass must be done during the day of your visit.
***Upgrade can only be applied to purchase a Season Pass in the same year that the ticket is valid. In other words, a 2023 Single Day Ticket is valid for an upgrade to a 2023 Season Pass***
Most rides and attractions remain open during rain. Some attractions will close when inclement weather prohibits their safe operation, but will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. Please enjoy a show, meal or shopping until such weather passes. Sorry, no rainchecks or refunds once you have entered the park.
For everyone's safety, guests are not permitted to bring coolers, outside food, or other drinks into Kings Dominion. Three shaded picnic areas are available in the guest parking lot. Grills and open fires are not allowed. Individuals who have special diets or need items due to a medical condition are asked to visit Guest Services located at the Front Gate for accommodation.
Hand stamps are available at designated exit turnstiles when leaving the park. To re-enter the parking lot, display your parking ticket on your dashboard. There are no re-entries after 7:00pm during Halloween Haunt.
No. Kings Dominion uses a cashless payment system for all park transactions, so there are no cash-dispensing ATM's on the property. There are cash-to-card kiosks available at several locations throughout the park that allow our guests to convert their cash into a pre-paid debit card.

Wheelchair rental is available at "Upgrade Your Day" near the Main Entrance. A limited supply of motorized wheelchairs are available for rent.
Only service animals are permitted in the park. Your pet may be left at the Kings Dominion Pet Care Center located outside the Front Gate during park operating hours. A $20 fee is required. For any questions about leaving your animal at the kennel for the day, please contact 804-876-5672.
Guests must be at least 21 years of age to purchase, possess or consume alcoholic beverages at Kings Dominion. Valid State-issued identification or valid driver's license is required upon each person purchasing, possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages must be consumed within designated areas.
Kings Dominion accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit or debit cards from American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. A valid driver's license must be presented when using a credit card for purchases at the park.
For the comfort of all guests, smoking of any kind, including vapor and e-cigarettes, is only permitted in the designated smoking area just outside the Main Gate. Please refer to the mobile app for the specific location. Smoking is not permitted inside Kings Dominion. Thank you for your cooperation.
Lockers are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis near the Front Gate. Additional lockers are available for rent in Soak City. Lockers in Soak City are only available during Soak City operating hours.
To provide increased ride capacity and shorten wait times, hats, bags, purses, and all other loose articles may not be taken into the queue lines at Twisted Timbers, Project 305, and Flight of Fear. Unsecured articles must be left with a non-rider or placed in a locker located near each of these rides.
Your admission to Kings Dominion includes all rides, live shows and attractions, and the Soak City waterpark. Your admission ticket does not include paid attractions (SkyFlyer) or events that require separate admission.
Looking to cool off in some AC with the little ones? The Planet Snoopy Family Care Center has it all. The newly expanded 1,100 square foot facility is located next to the restroom in Planet Snoopy and also features a room for parents to feed their children and a microwave to warm up your child’s bottle.
All drones (Unmanned Aerial Systems) are prohibited at (in) Cedar Fair parks, including Kings Dominion, and any unauthorized drone(s) observed over Kings Dominion will be reported to the FAA and local law enforcement, regardless of its point of origin or operation. Drones may pose a potential safety risk and may violate Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
The safety of our guests and associates is our number one priority, and we have implemented several enhanced security procedures at all entrance gates. As part of the process:
- Guests arriving at the park will go through metal detection every public operating day.
- All bags, purses, backpacks, waist packs, etc. will be examined prior to entering.
- Sharp objects (including pocket knives and metal chains), firearms, or other items that could be considered a weapon are strictly prohibited and should be left at home or secured in your vehicle.

We use a variety of methods in securing our parks including uniformed and plain clothes officers, and video surveillance monitoring.
Kings Dominion does not tolerate guests who fight and/or harass other guests while on our property. People who engage this behavior are subject to being ejected and potentially banned from the park, and may be subject to arrest by local police.
We are strict and thorough in the steps we take and the processes we use to keep our properties safe and promote a healthy environment. To protect our guests and associates and prevent the spread of illness, we employ rigorous sanitation standards and robust cleaning procedures, including:
- Extensive training for associates on maintaining a safe and hygienic workplace and environment for our guests
- Appropriate personal protective clothing and gear for associates who are assigned for cleaning duties
- Specified intervals for frequent cleaning and disinfection of targeted areas throughout the day
- Procedures for cleaning and disinfection of areas throughout the day and where illness has been suspected or reported
- Quick response to spills, trash, and other situations
- Daily sanitation procedures, for everything from bathroom faucets and sinks to kitchen and dining surfaces, benches and trash cans
- Daily cleaning and “wash down” of outdoors locations, including walkways and queue lines
- Guest and associate first aid locations to assist with minor health issues.
We maintain close relationships with local, state, national, and international public health authorities, and take their guidance when additional preventive measures are needed.
