Soak City Waterpark Opening Day
May 24, 2025

A summer of splashes kicks off on May 24, when Kings Dominion's waterpark opens for the 2025 season! You are sure to have a splash-tastic time in the only destination in Virginia with two parks included for the price of one. Join us on Soak City's Opening Day to take on the thrills and soak up the sun at our 20-acre waterpark, featuring dozens of water slides, splash pads, a wave pool, a lazy river, cabanas, and more.

Make waves in our recently redesigned area of Soak City, Coconut Shores, featuring Lighthouse Landing, Sand Dune Lagoon, and Beach Street. At Lighthouse Landing, guests can explore their way up to the top of an interactive multi-level aqua play structure featuring over 200 elements, eight twisting water slides, two ginormous water tipping buckets, and more. Kids can have a blast and a splash at Sand Dune Lagoon, a 24’’ deep mini-wave pool with one-foot-tall waves and interactive splash elements.

When you’re hungry, stop by Beach Street for a bite to eat at one of three food trucks. Guests will be able to indulge in hot and ready delights from three different food trucks including The Captain’s Catch, Pizza Paradise and Beachside Bowls. Guests 21 and older can grab a refreshing drink from the Sand Bar including craft beer, wine, hard seltzers, margaritas, and more.
