Parents' Guide to Tricks and Treats at Kings Dominion

Celebrate fall in Virginia with three exciting events at Kings Dominion: Tricks and Treats, Oktoberfest, and Halloween Haunt presented by SNICKERS®. Each offers a unique experience for families and thrill-seekers alike. 

Tricks and Treats is a family-friendly fall festival, blending the excitement of Halloween with festive fun. Guests of all ages can enjoy interactive activities and whimsical live entertainment. Join the not-so-spooky adventures every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM September 20 through November 2.  

Games and Activities 
  • Trick or Treat Trail: Children can follow the Trick or Treat Trail and visit themed stations to collect candy and other goodies. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Trail stops are located near Joe Cool’s Pit Stop in Planet Snoopy™. 
  • Patch’s Pumpkin Patch: Little ones can pick a pumpkin and decorate it to create the cutest, wackiest, or spookiest pumpkin in the park! Limit to one pumpkin per child. This activity is located in Planet Snoopy inside Joe Cool’s Pit Stop. 
  • Mask Maker's Mash: Get creative at the Mask Maker's Mash, where children can craft their Halloween masks to complete their costumes. This activity is located in Planet Snoopy inside Joe Cool’s Pit Stop. 
  • *SkeleTONS of Fun Midway Games: Enjoy a variety of fun midway games where everyone’s a winner! The games are set up near Snoopy Boutique. *This activity requires a separate fee 

Shows and Experiences 
  • Costume Contest: Children are invited to show off their best Halloween costumes and parade to the stage for a chance to win prizes! Located in Planet Snoopy at PEANUTS™ Playhouse. 
  • BeanBoozled challenge: Only the brave will survive this challenge! Spin the Wheel of Beans and see who can stomach the wackiest candy flavors. Located in Planet Snoopy near PEANUTS Showplace. 
  • Skelebration! Dance Party: Join DJ Knuckles for a bone-rattling dance party featuring spooky tunes and interactive games with chances to win prizes. Located in Planet Snoopy at PEANUTS Playhouse. 

Festive Food and Beverage Offerings 

Kings Dominion's culinary team has crafted a limited-time menu featuring specialty food and beverage options showcasing fall flavors. Of course, these offerings are complete with some kid-friendly favorites: 

  • The Pig Reaper: Oven-baked pizza with BBQ sauce, topped with pulled pork, red onions, and mozzarella cheese 
  • Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake: Traditional cheesecake with pumpkin puree and a mix of fall spices, garnished with cinnamon pumpkin seeds 
  • Caramel Apple Parfait: Nilla® wafer cookie crumbs topped with apple pie filling, caramel drizzle, and whipped cream

Three Events, One Ticket 

Guests attending the daytime Tricks and Treats and Oktoberfest activities can seamlessly transition into a fright-filled night with Halloween Haunt presented by SNICKERS®, without leaving the park. Please note that Haunt is recommended for guests aged 13 and up due to the event's intensity. 

Get access to all three events with one admission ticket, starting from $45. For the best value, upgrade to a 2026 Gold Pass for unlimited visits, including free parking for the remainder of 2025 and all of 2026.
