It is once again that time of year when darkness falls on Kings Dominion and the things that go bump in the night come out to play. Halloween Haunt is back and better than ever this year! This year’s Fright Guide will help you plan your visit so that you can escape alive while having a fun time.
NEW in 2024: Three Events, One Ticket!
Halloween Haunt is no longer a separately gated ticketed event. If you are already at the park for our daytime Tricks and Treats and Oktoberfest activities, you can continue the fun into a frightful night without leaving the park. Keep in mind there is no re-entry after 6 PM.
Chaperone Policy
All guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted to, or remain in, the park for Halloween Haunt. The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry.
One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than ten (10) guests ages 15 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay. Guests ages 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection.
Bring Clear Bags
During Halloween Haunt only clear plastic bags smaller than 12” x 12” x 6” as well as non-clear wristlets or clutches no larger than 5”x 8”x 2” are allowed at Kings Dominion. All bags are subject to search prior to entry. Medical bags are acceptable. View our Visitation Information page for more details regaurding policies and guidelines.
Mazes
Halloween Haunt offers six terrifying mazes that’ll push your limits of fear. Fan favorites Blood on the Bayou, Trick or Treat, F.E.A.R., GrimmWoods, and CornStalkers: Blood Harvest will be returning this year. Our new maze, MonsterCon, is sure to be a scream as you find your way through horror exhibits and showcases. These are separate attractions that guests must wait in line for just like any ride.
Scare Zones
Our midways are where our monsters love to play games with our guests. Roam at your will in our five scare zone areas such as Pumpkin Eater (Old Virginia), Masquerade (Old Virginia Arbor), Site X (Jungle X), Uprising (Center Street), and Cleaver Brothers Carnival (Grove Midway). You never know, you might just make a friend or two.
Nighttime Rides
Take your thrills to the next level with nighttime rides during Kings Dominion’s Halloween Haunt. It’s no wonder the park is world-renowned for moonlit thrills caught on rides like Reptilian, Racer 75, Dominator, and more. Please note that Planet Snoopy attractions close at 6 PM each night and will not operate during Halloween Haunt. View the list of operating rides and attractions.
Shows
Halloween Haunt wouldn’t be complete without a collection of sinister showstoppers, would it? The festivities kick off every night at 7 PM with the show Blood Reign, that calls the monsters forth from their hiding places. Back this year is Conjure the Night, a condemned collaboration of the deadliest hits and dances. Over in Cleaver Brothers Carnival, the Big Top Band and Black Widow Burlesque shows are movin’ and groovin’ the rest of the night. Be sure to check latest showtimes on the Kings Dominion Mobile App.
Specialty Fall Food
Our culinary team has crafted specialized foods and specialty adult beverages to enhance your immersive experience during Halloween Haunt. These new, limited-time menu offerings showcase the rich flavors of fall and the playful spirit of the spooky season.
Interactive Lantern
Hidden secrets await you in the fog. The NEW Halloween Haunt lantern feeds on the energy of a thousand fears – and when brought within the proximity of cursed locations, it reacts in strange & unpredictable ways. You can even bring them inside the mazes to light your way through the darkness. Take your Haunt experience into the next dimension and purchase your interactive lantern now. Limited quantity available.
No Boo
If you love the spooky fall atmosphere of Halloween Haunt but don’t like to be scared by our monsters, we have No Boo necklaces available for purchase by the front gate. Wearing these tells our monsters not to mess with you. However, these will not work in scare mazes. You can purchase these before you visit and pick them up the night of.
Skip the Lines
Fright & Fast Lane is available for purchase for those who want to bypass the regular lines and get right to the scaring in six mazes. This also includes Fast Lane access to some of our most popular rides such as Flight of Fear, Tumbili, and Twisted Timbers.
