Kings Dominion Nominated in Two National Awards by USAToday Readers
Kings Dominion has been nominated in not one, but two national reader’s choice awards hosted by USA TODAY 10Best. The contest seeks the best of the best across several categories each year as part of their Theme Parks/Waterparks Readers' Choice awards. These contests give voters four weeks to vote for the candidate of their choice in each category. A person can vote once a day in each category for the run of the contest.
Best Roller Coaster
The park features a dozen world-class rollercoasters. This year, one stands out as the best in the country. The aptly named Intimidator 305 is one of the fastest and tallest coasters on the East Coast, with a 300-foot first drop and an 85-degree angle and plenty of memorable twists and turns. Speeds top out at 90 miles per hour for the ultimate adrenaline rush.
Best Amusement Park Restaurant
The Mac Bowl dazzled guests when it first opened in 2018. This unique location invites guests to customize their own gourmet bowls of mac and cheese by selecting from a list of 29 toppings, ranging from brisket, pulled pork, or bacon to broccoli, spinach or jalapeños.
Not up for mac and cheese, or looking for a vegan-friendly option? Choose tater tots or spring mix as your base. Feeling adventurous? Get extra creative and take on the Mac Dog – a footlong hot dog topped with mac and cheese and your choice of toppings.
Share with your friends, vote early, and vote often for your favorites! Voting ends Monday, July 20th.
