The fun won’t stop once Christmas is over at WinterFest because we have a fantastic New Year’s Eve celebration waiting for you and your family on December 31! On New Year’s Eve, Kings Dominion will ring in 2020 with a grand celebration filled with live bands, dance parties, and fireworks when the clock strikes midnight. We are so excited to ring in the new year with you and to help you get ready for this AMAZING celebration, here is a guide to help you get the most out of the New Year’s celebration at WinterFest!

Family-Friendly Fun

New Year’s Eve at WinterFest will be filled with dance parties and entertainment that all ages can enjoy. While supplies last, be sure to grab your New Year’s hat and horn to help get the party started. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m., guests can join the cast of the Coca Cola Dance Party for a night of pop music and games. For the younger crowd, kids will be able to hang and dance with the PEANUTS Gang during the PEANUTS Block Party from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the PEANUTS Playhouse. Also, be sure to see Tinker’s Early New Year’s Eve Dance Party and Countdown from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. where Tinker, Santa, and his elves will help ring in the new year with you and your family.

The Final Countdown

Starting at 9:30, the countdown to 2020 will start at the Grande Bandstand with a live performance from TFC, one of the most popular Motown/Soul bands performing today. The celebration continues at the Grande Bandstand at 11:30 with Snoopy’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Countdown where you can dance the night away and join the PEANUTS Gang for a live countdown to 2020. Once the clock strikes midnight, we will welcome 2020 with a fireworks extravaganza! Be sure to find a spot in Candy Apple Grove near the Drop Tower or on International Street near the Eiffel Tower for the best viewing areas.

Start 2020 with more AMAZING

The fun continues New Year’s Day as we have one last day of WinterFest and celebrate our 2019 season. Come join us for our final night of the year with thrills, shows, and excitement until we open again for our 2020 season! It’s hard to believe that the 2019 season will be coming to a close in just a few days, but we can’t think of anything better than having you join us on New Year’s Day to help us celebrate a fantastic season!
