12 New Must-Try Food Items in 2019

With Opening Day right around the corner, we can all agree on being eager for thrills and coasters to return for the 2019 season. Here at Kings Dominion, we’re also excited about another aspect of the park that you might not think about- our food!

Our executive chef, Tiffanie, has done it again and we are excited to offer these mouthwatering selections to the park this season! Take a look at the new foods being served at Kings Dominion in 2019:

Smoked Meat Pizza- Pepperoni and cheese are great and will always have a place in our hearts. However, this year we’re kicking it up a notch with new specialty pizzas. The Smoked Meat Pizza will be available at Victoria Garden’s Pizza and features smoked sausage, bacon, brisket, and caramelized onions with a swirl of BBQ sauce.

Buffalo Chicken Pizza- Flavor packed, the Buffalo Chicken Pizza at Victoria Garden’s Pizza features buffalo sauce, grilled chicken strips, and a swirl of ranch dressing on our new signature crust.

Chicken and Waffles- Sweet, savory and oh-so delicious. Get ready for a delicious walk in the park with our new walking Chicken and Waffles at Chicken Shack. Enjoy our signature hand breaded chicken tenders served with a side of fries and wrapped in a freshly baked sweet and savory waffle cone served with a side of maple syrup.

Brisket & Pulled Pork Sandwiches - #AmazingTastesLike our new Brisket Sandwich and Pulled pork Sandwich. Located in Wayside Grill, directly across from our new taproom, The Parched Pig, get ready for your mouth to water with these two options being prepared in-house; the process for both includes smoking them in house for an average of 12 hours, covered in Chef’s super-special-secret spice rub that guests love. Seriously…these melt in your mouth.

Fried Green Tomato Grill Cheese- We love keeping it local, which is why we are so excited to offer our delicious fried green tomato grilled cheese! Savor a juicy, famous Hanover green tomato on sourdough bread with pepper jack cheese and grilled to melty-perfection.

Hank’s Sampler Basket- We’re bringing quality seafood to the park with this option! Enjoy a taste of our hand breaded seafood options in a sampler platter complete with one hand-breaded chicken strip, one freshly hand-breaded tilapia, and two butterflied and breaded shrimp served at Outer Hanks, located in Safari Village. Serve with a cold draft beer from Center of the Universe.

Fire Burger- We’re turning the heat up for a delicious take on a classic. The Fire Burger at Hungry Hippo features a whopping 1/3 lb. burger served with sriracha aioli, provolone cheese, and topped with a cream cheese-filled jalapeno popper.

MacDog-  Last year, the MacBowl stole hearts and wowed taste buds. This year, in addition to mac bowls, tot bowls and salad bowls, you can build upon a foot long Virginia-style red hotdog and top it with our signature mac and cheese and select toppings.

Party Shake- A sweet tooth’s dream…this is our Chef’s interpretation of what “a party in your mouth should be!” Sip on a vanilla shake topped with cotton candy, sprinkles, a waffle cone piece, and even fluffly marshmallow topping. Go on…Treat Yo Self at Fountain and Floats.

Banana split- A classic dessert that includes all the basics- banana with strawberry, chocolate, vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream, peanuts and cherry on top.

Hot Link – This is ONE. HOT. DOG. Bring the flavor and heat from the grill to your mouth with this foot long hot link sausage served at the Pit and topped with grilled veggies.

Grilled Bone-in Chicken- Chef Tiffanie loves to grill, so it’s no wonder our culinary team is serving up delicious fresh Grilled Chicken at the Pit. First, the BBQ chicken quarters are smoked in our smoker. Then, they’re flash grilled over the open grill for all flavor and that perfect fall off the bone goodness.
