Grand Carnivale Wrap-Up

It’s been a magical couple of weeks here at Kings Dominion, as we welcomed authentic entertainers, food, floats and décor from cultures around the world. International Street housed several countries including Italy, Germany, China, India, and France with décor donning every inch of our already iconic street.

Each evening, the catchy theme song of Grand Carnivale signaled the start of our Spectacle of Color Parade, which allowed even the shyest of guests to get in the spirit with interactive performances, along with beads and streamers thrown throughout the street.

We saw LOTS of amazing dance moves, thanks to our special DJs and Hot Rhythm Nights performers during our Carnivale Street Party. The crowd’s energy was infectious every single night, which allowed for a different, energetic experience each evening.

What you all saw was a lot of planning and practice put into action, so we could give you even more of a reason to love coming to the park! While you saw the entertainers and international characters, there are SO many more people that put in hours upon hours of work to make this event a huge success. So, if you had any part in putting together Grand Carnivale, whether it was preparing food, applying makeup to our entertainers, or hanging décor along International Street, we THANK YOU for helping put the magic into our international celebration. We couldn’t have pulled off such an amazing event without each and every one of you, and your work over the past couple weeks is so appreciated.

Next up, the monsters are coming to the park for a larger-than-life event! Monster Jam® Thunder Alley takes over Kings Dominion starting July 20 through September 2 and it’s bringing tons of interactive activities with it. Head over to our special events calendar and keep up with us on our blog to stay up-to-date on all the AMAZING things happening at Kings Dominion!
