Ready for Summer Fun at Soak City

Ahh, summer is here. We’re kicking off the fun this weekend with the opening of our 20-acre water park. Before we get to drop in on our great rides and slides like Paradise Plunge, we have some exciting announcements to make.

First, we’d like to give a shout out to our hard working aquatics team. Last year, they received the prestigious platinum International Aquatic Safety Award from Jeff Ellis & Associates (J&A), an international aquatics training and consulting firm. This is the 9th year we’ve received this designation and it speaks to the professionalism of our entire team – here’s to another fantastic season with our incredible staff.

In addition, one of our own lifeguards, Salvatore Tobar, was recognized as a ‘golden guard,’ the highest accolade that J&A bestows on lifeguards in our industry. Congratulations!

We’re constantly evaluating the rides and attractions throughout the park, making sure that the guest experience is always top notch. We’re excited to announce two new live entertainment options to keep you cool and having fun in Soak city - Soak City Soakers and Deep End Dance Party.

Soak City Soakers lets you choose a side, Team Fire or Team Ice, and battle it out through various water challenges. Who will win each day? Well, start practicing your water games and let’s find out. This fun battle will take place just by Tidal Wave Bay, so get ready because the splash zone is coming to you.

We’re turning each day into a pool party with our Deep End Dance Party. The DJ is cranking up the music and it’s your turn to jump in and groove. There will be all kinds of poolside activities and games too, in case dancing isn’t your thing.

We have made the decision to remove the Tornado ride from Soak City. The ride will be disassembled in the upcoming weeks, and we plan to install a green area in its location to provide a more lush landscape and make Soak City feel like an oasis.

Our commitment to providing extra delicious food options doesn’t stop at the Soak City entrance. We’ve added a new Coca-Cola refresh station nears Sharky’s and Pipeline Peak, to allow for faster access to Coke products and ICEE beverages during those hot summer days. Sharky’s will also now feature a crispy club chicken sandwich and Surfer Joe’s will be serving hand-breaded chicken tenders. Let us just say – these are no average chicken tenders. They feature an exclusive light and crispy breading recipe from our executive chef, Tiffanie, herself.

It is going to be an amazing summer. Be sure to check out all of the fun going on this summer with our upcoming special events, and we’ll catch you by the wave pool.
