WinterFest is Coming

Merry Christmas everyone! Okay, okay maybe it’s only Christmas in July… But if you’re anything like us, you’re already in the Christmas spirit and ready for WinterFest to arrive!

Run Run Rudolph, Santa’s got to make it to WinterFest! The official calendar is up and the Holidays are on their way, so you can start planning your visit today.

We’re here to give you an exclusive peek at just some of the things you can expect at WinterFest.

Snowflake Lake

You have seen the beautiful fountains in front of the park in the summer time. Have you ever thought about ICE SKATING on it? Well now, your Christmas dreams have come true. Snowflake Lake is under the shadow of the sparkling Eiffel Tower and will become a large skating rink all winter long. So grab your loved ones for a fun activity everyone can enjoy!

A balanced diet: Christmas Cookies

Here at Kings Dominion, we try to stick to the 4 main food groups: chocolate chip cookies, funnel cake, sugar cookies, and Mrs. Claus’s Christmas Cookies! Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen is open for all ages to decorate cookies and enjoy family time surrounded by the warm aroma of Mrs. Claus’ homemade cookies.

And, let’s be honest—life is better with a Christmas cookie in one hand and a warm cup of hot cocoa in the other.

Millions of Lights and festive Decor

WinterFest at Kings Dominion will feature several different themed areas complete with millions of lights and activities. Get ready to be dazzled by three signature trees: a 70 foot Christmas Tree, a 40’ Christmas tree and last but not least the Eiffel tower will be transformed into a 300 foot tall Christmas tree, all decked out in LED lights. WinterFest is going to be…lit. (Get it?)

Santa Claus is coming to town

It’s okay, we all know you want to meet Santa as much as your children do. And guess what? We do too! Santa visits the park every night to make his list and check it twice. Kids can pop into the North Pole Post Office and craft their letter to Santa where the elves will deliver them straight to the North Pole themselves so that they are there in time for Christmas!

Rock around the Christmas Tree

We are spreading Christmas Cheer and singing loud for all to hear with dozens of shows and entertainment options. There is something for everyone from Tinker’s Toy Factory for the little ones to Cool Yule Christmas featuring your favorite sounds of the season. And, don’t forget about the Holly Jolley Trolley which will make appearances throughout the park. Be sure to bring your camera for several photo ops with our festive characters like Jack Frost, the Sugar Plum Fairy and of course the PEANUTS gang!

Fill your stocking

Every year when you’re buying gifts, you always run into the same problem: that one person that has everything. We have the perfect remedy— Visit Crafters Corner to find some of the most wonderful handmade gifts from around the region. It’s a Christmas Miracle!

Check back soon for more details about everything WinterFest! Tickets sales are coming soon, but remember admission is included with your 2018 Gold Season Pass.

May your days counting down to WinterFest be merry and bright!
