BBQ & Brew Fest is Back with More to Savor

It’s that time of year again, delicious BBQ, cold craft brews and live music are all here for a fourth season of BBQ & Brew Fest!

Come explore the different BBQ styles from around the country, including a few new additions. Kings Dominion Executive Chef, Tiffanie Blackmon, and her amazing culinary team are whipping up BBQ dishes inspired by the various styles found around the country.

  • NEW - Hawaii
  • St. Louis
  • Texas
  • Memphis
  • North Carolina
  • Virginia

Guests can also visit select locations for exclusive, limited-time menu items such as Memphis Mac and Cheese at the Mac Bowl and Smoked Wings with Apple Butter BBQ Sauce at the Pit at Country Kitchen.

“I love great BBQ. So, I looked at what we served last year, kept what the guests loved but added a few twists,” Chef Tiffanie said. “You will see everything from St. Louis style ribs, to Parmesan roasted corn and even Smoked Wings with Apple Butter BBQ Sauce. However, I’m most excited about the addition of the Hawaiian BBQ, a style I’ve been eating since I was a kid!”

Signature Rubs

We take our BBQ seriously…So serious that our culinary team has made exclusive signature rubs for the brisket, chicken, ribs and everything in between.

“All of the rubs we put on the meats are signature rubs I have created to enhance the flavor of the food. But – it’s not all about the rub, it’s in the technique,” Chef Tiffanie said. “Our BBQ is slow cooked in the smoker up to twelve hours ahead of time.”

Who’s ready to try this fall-off the bone BBQ? WE ARE.

The best tips for the best BBQ day ever

Okay so now that you’re excited for every single heavenly bite of home-smoked BBQ, here’s the best way to experience BBQ & Brew Fest.

Visit the park any day between August 4 and 19

This event is now available every day of the week. That’s right – Monday through Sunday you can get your BBQ fix for lunch and dinner.

Head down to Candy Apple Grove near Twisted Timbers and purchase a Tasting Card.

Tasting Cards provide you with six tear offs that can be redeemed for any dish at any food booth for BBQ & Brew Fest. This way, you can try one of each new dish or use it to go back for seconds (and thirds…or get sixths)

Enjoy the savory BBQ but don’t skip dessert!

From the Hawaii location, the Hawaiian Dream Dessert parfait is sure to make you think you’re in food paradise. “We have a Hawaiian Delight Dessert Parfait which has coconut custard, pineapple, macadamia nuts and some other goodies in it, “ Blackmon said.

Other must try items? Moonshine Berry Parfaits, Mini Banana Cream Pies topped with caramelized bananas and the return of the Jim Beam Peach Cobbler – a guest favorite from last year’s BBQ & Brew fest.

Stay tuned as we go Behind the BBQ and Brews to bring you all you need to know about this oh-so-delicious event and get your eating pants ready - BBQ and brew kicks off August 4.
