You know what's amazing? Fireworks. You know what else is more amazing? Fireworks at Kings Dominion. But, that's not the only exciting thing going on this Independence Day Weekend. Join us for the ultimate Fourth of July event, Star Spangled Celebration, June 30 - July 4 and experience AMAZING.

Fireworks

Nothing says the Fourth of July weekend like fireworks and there’s no better view than fireworks over the park. After a day filled with water slides and coasters, finish off the night with our largest firework displays of the year. Head to Candy Apple Grove or Safari Village by Anaconda for the best views of our 20 minute displays June 30 – July 4.

Honor our Troops

As a thank you, we are offering FREE admission to members of the military—active, inactive, veteran or honorably discharged military personnel with FREE admission June 30 – July 8. Just head to the Front Gate with your valid military ID or DD214 to receive complimentary admission. Discounted tickets are available for dependents and family at Ticket Services.

Food

What’s July 4th without a good ol’ BBQ? We’re stepping up the grilling game with our BBQ Feast. This delicious all-you-can eat meal features a roast pig, BBQ Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Pasta Salad, Watermelon, Corn Bread and Potato Chips. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Pavilion entrance. Best of all - Season Passholders receive 10% off!

Festive Fun

The park is decked out in red, white and blue and so is the fun! From the moment you step in to the park, you will be immersed in patriotic events from live military bands to photo opportunities with Uncle Sam.

Make a splash

Cool down from the July heat at Soak City! Pull up a lounge chair, take a dip in the wave pool or rent one of our Cabanas for a poolside escape. All 20-acres of chilling slides are included with park admission, so be sure to bring your suit and towel!

Then, get in on the action with Soak City Soakers – a NEW live entertainment experience where you can battle it out through a series of water challenges. Or, get down and groove with the Deep End Dance Party DJ near Sharkey's.

Go Camping

You can have the best of both worlds—thrilling rides during the day and a deluxe campsite at night! Pitch a tent and enjoy a night under the stars at our KOA Richmond North Camp Wilderness campsite. Or, our Deluxe Cabins sleep up to 10 people and are far from roughing it! And – if you run out of s’mores ingredients, visit our fully stocked camp store for s’more. After a long day in the park, cool off in the pool or challenge or family to a friendly game of volleyball or horseshoes. Plus - Passholders receive a discount upon check in.
