How does the program work?
Kings Dominion is dedicated to helping non-profit groups achieve their goals and raise money for their organization. Interested groups can work in the park on select days. The hourly wages collectively earned by all members is then donated directly to their organization.
The Group will be rewarded a base rate of $7.25 per hour worked per volunteer.
The group check will be made payable to the name of the Non-profit Organization listed on the W-9 Form. The check will be sent by mail to the group leader within four weeks of the date volunteered. Please note that Kings Dominion must have a current W-9 form (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification Form) on file before your check can be sent.
The group will be eligible for a confirmation bonus of an additional $1.00 per hour per person, if they bring the confirmed number of volunteers listed on their letter of agreement on time and if all volunteers are eligible to participate in the program. All members of the volunteer group must successfully complete their shift. In the event a member of the group does not successfully complete the program (leaves early without authorization, is found to be under the age of 16 and must be sent home, etc.) the organization will not be eligible for the confirmation bonus.
Group Member Requirements
All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age, and cannot be employed by King’s Dominion. All volunteers must bring a valid original state or school issued photo ID with proof of age each time they work at the park. Volunteers who do not bring proper identification will not be permitted to volunteer.
