FOODIE FRIDAY: A Taste of 2020

Having fun is hungry work! While you’re at the park, we want to make sure you’re enjoying the best quality foods and getting the most value for your dollar. This year, we’re excited to announce new food items included on the Dining Plan and other great enhancements to ensure the quality of your meals are top-notch.

Chef Denis and the culinary team have been working on signature burgers at Juke Box Diner and Hungry Hippo. In addition to classic Cheeseburgers and the Twisted Burgers at Juke Box, you’ll be able to order the new Pimento Cheeseburger* (Fresh burger patty topped with classic pimento cheese and served with a fried pickle on toasted potato bun) and the Blues Burger* (Fresh burger patty topped with caramelized onions, blue cheese crumbles, and crispy bacon strips).

AND  - new this season at Juke Box and our new Soak City dining location – FRIED PICKLES! This is a perfect shareable option for friends and family and a great snack option for a quick bite to eat.

Gluten-free burger buns are available upon request and French fries at Juke Box are made without gluten.

Dining at Hungry Hippo? You’ll be able to enjoy a savory and hot Safari Burger* (fresh not frozen burger patty topped with cheese, a fried onion ring and jalapeno petals, served on a toasted bun). Or, opt for the new and a Mushroom & Swiss Burger*. All signature burgers at Hungry Hippo are available in beef, turkey or plant-based burgers. Plus, the option of special Funky Hippo Sauce will bring extra flavor to all burgers.

Need a light fresh option for your meals? We’re bringing back more seasonal signature salad options! During WinterFest, we debuted the harvest Salad packed with hearty, yet light flavors perfect for fall. It’s warmer weather counterpart, the Strawberry Fields Salad*, will be making its debut this Spring. Fresh Spring Mix is topped with fresh cut strawberries, crumbled goat cheese, sunflower seeds for that extra nut-free crunch and served with a balsamic dressing on the side. The Strawberry Fields salad will be served at most dining locations along with a classic Chicken Caesar Salad*.

More flavors and options are coming to Soak City! Down in our new area, Coconut Shores, Beach Street will offer three themed food trucks (Pizza Paradise*, The Captain’s Catch* and Beachside Bowls*) and will offer variety and loads of flavor to your Soak City visit. And, all entrée options are on the Dining Plan!

Sit back and relax with a refreshing craft cocktail, hard cider or craft beer and wine at the Sand Bar truck. Must be 21 or older to purchase and consume alcohol. Valid I.D. Required.

We’ll dish out the full menu a little bit later in our Foodie Friday series, but until then here’s a small sneak peek:

  • Fish & Chips, fried pickles and other seafood fare at the Captain’s Catch
  • Artisan Flatbread Pizzas (including gluten-free cauliflower crusts) at Pizza Paradise
  • Garlic Noodle Bowls at Beachside Bowls
  • Local craft beer, wine, seltzers and cocktails at the Sand Bar

We’ve got a few more dining additions heading your way this season so stay tuned!
