Special trips, parties, and events
One of our favorite things to do for our associates is offer special events for everyone to have fun and get to know peers within the park. For example, our associates are able to take part in Ride Nights, where we open certain areas of the park after hours for associates to enjoy! Another event we love hosting is our Big Bash. Associates are able to stop in on their breaks and grab free food, as well as have fun with game trucks and a DJ.
Aside from events, we hold special days for our hard-working associates. From one extreme to the other, we have both Fruit and Sweet Tooth Days, where you can find Human Resources at the associate gate handing out healthy or sweet treats to those clocking in for work.
Associates also have the option to travel to new and exciting places! Each year, we provide bus trips to places such as Dollywood, Virginia Beach, Niagara Falls, Atlantic City, and Cedar Point, to name a few. For just a small cost, we take groups of associates to experience these different places and parks with their peers- a lot of these places being a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit!
Friendships
No need to worry about feeling alone at Kings Dominion- we have lots of associates waiting to welcome you! With people of all ages and backgrounds, you will have the ability to mingle and meet associates from different departments throughout the park. More often than not, these people go from being peers, to work friends, to lifelong friends, which is something we take into consideration when hiring quality associates.
Not only will you meet people from different ages and backgrounds, you also have the opportunity to meet people from different countries. We welcome over 400 international students to work for Kings Dominion each year, giving them the opportunity to learn about our culture, and you the opportunity to learn more about theirs!
Our associate cafeteria, the Canteen, also allows you to catch up with friends during lunch or a quick snack break! Here you’ll find discounted food, free fountain drinks, charging stations, and TVs for you and your friends to enjoy.
Tickets & Discounts
Work hard, play hard with free tickets and discounts to food and merchandise at all Cedar Fair parks! After completing a certain number of hours at work, associates earn a specific amount of tickets for their friends and family to use at both Kings Dominion and all Cedar Fair parks.
Where does this leave you? Well, all associates gain UNLIMITED admission – for free! -- to all Cedar Fair parks when working at Kings Dominion.
