Kings Dominion to Hire Hundreds During Two-Week Hiring Blitz

DOSWELL, VA (May 14, 2013) – Kings Dominion – home of the bigger, better Planet Snoopy – has announced a summer employee hiring blitz leading up to the start of daily park operation on May 24th. Kings Dominion is expecting to hire about 400 seasonal employees during the next two weeks prior to Memorial Day weekend.

Kings Dominion is looking for applicants to fill job openings throughout the park including food and beverage, games, merchandise, rides, water park, admissions and security departments. Entry-level, as well as supervisory positions, are available to qualified applicants.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer employment to those looking for a summer job or those applicants looking for additional hours to supplement their current job,” said Kings Dominion Human Resource Manager Greg Talley. “Working at Kings Dominion offers the best of both world’s – providing our guests with excellent customer service while having fun doing it!”

Applicants must be at least 15 years of age and apply online at Qualified candidates will be contacted to conduct an on-site interview. The 400 seasonal employees to be hired are part of the nearly 4,000 associated Kings Dominion will hire throughout the 2013 season.

Kings Dominion is now open for its 39th season of operation. In 2013, Kings Dominion unveiled the bigger, better Planet Snoopy children’s area, spanning nearly 14-acres and featuring eight new family rides. Daily operation at the park will begin on May 24th and continue through Labor Day Monday, September 2nd.

Kings Dominion is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a publicly traded partnership that is listed for trading on The New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “FUN.” In addition to Kings Dominion, Cedar Fair owns and operates ten other amusement parks, four water parks, one indoor water park, and five hotels. Cedar Fair also operates the Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park in California under a management contract.
