Kings Dominion Hires Executive Chef

Doswell, VA (July 1, 2014) — Kings Dominion has named Paul Maloney, CEC, as the park’s executive chef.

Paul Maloney has extensive culinary experience, stemming from his 16 years of service in the Navy. He is a Certified Executive Chef (CEC) and a 4 Star Military Executive Chef. Chef Paul’s main focus is to elevate Kings Dominion’s food presentation and quality to overall enhance the guest experience. He will also handle the park’s menu development and food preparation for special events.

“I am very excited to be here,” said Paul Maloney, “I grew up coming to theme parks and I love them. I get to combine being a chef and a theme park, that’s my job. I have a lot of ideas and visions and a lot of room for creativity and food concepts.”

Chef Paul has also competed in several television cooking competitions and has won 14 professional American Culinary Federation Medals.

"I couldn't be more excited to welcome Paul to the Kings Dominion team,” said Kings Dominion’s Director of Food and Beverage, Jacob Rhoten. “With his experience and drive, some amazing things are in store for our program."

Kings Dominion’s 40th Celebration is currently underway. This season features the return of classic park icons, including the infamous Singing Mushrooms and oversized candy apples in the newly re-themed Candy Apple Grove section of the park.
