Kings Dominion invites you, your family and friends to be part of Emergency Services & First Responders Days--dedicated to honoring police, firefighters and EMS professionals for the extraordinary services provided to the community.
SPECIAL EVENTS DAY—Exhibitions and Spectator Events
Sunday, July 25
More than 30 EMS and First Responder vehicles from organizations in the region will be on display throughout the park. Rescues squads, special demonstration and equipment highlight exhibits from local fire, police and rescue crews. Stop by the information table at the Q94 deck under the Eiffel Tower to pick up your voting ballot to vote on the Best In Show displayer! Special demonstration times include:
- Life-saving Car Extrication – The Chickahominy Volunteer Fire Department will demonstrate the use of the “Jaws of Life” and cut open a vehicle.
- Hanover Co. Fire EMS Technical Rescue Team Canine Unit will have Liberty, 4 year old trained urban search and rescue black lab, show how she locates humans in hazardous areas such as floods & collapsed buildings, and will demonstrate her many special skills
- Repelling Performance – Watch in wonder as the Hanover Fire and EMS Rescue team repels down Kings Dominion’s iconic Eiffel Tower.
- Fatal Vision Demonstration hosted by the Poquoson Police Department
- K-9 Demonstration by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency
- 2:30 pm: Awards Ceremony at the Grand Bandstand on International Street.
Plus, join us for a great picnic meal from 11:30am until 1:00pm, including: All-You-Can-Eat Fried Chicken, Hamburgers & Hot Dogs, Fresh Cut Fruit, Potato Salad, Ice Cream Treats, Soft Drinks & Tea. Tickets are required and are available for purchase on July 25th at the picnic pavilion area.
Prices for meals are:
· Ages 3 and up AND 48” tall $14.99
· Ages 3 and up and UNDER 48” tall $8.00
